Show TUG MINES WILL SEND OUTIC ORE May Day, Lower Mammoth and Uncle Sam All Start Production. With the satisfactory ranges assumed once mdro by the spoiler market, the May Day, .Uncle Sam Consolidated and Lower Mammoth companies have resumed re-sumed tho extraction of zinc ores for the market General Manager James C. Dick returned from these properties yesterday, yester-day, and when asked in regard to the permanency of thea shipments he said It was more a question of the spelter market than anything else, for In all theso mines, and the May Day In particular. par-ticular. Ihoro Is a splendid tonnage awaiting tho effort of tho management. Tho zinc ores find a ready market in the middle wostem zinc smelting belt. It was the boost taken during 1913 by tho spelter market that restored tho May Day to the dividend column, and the May Day had theretofore been a silver-load silver-load producer. Not only to thoso throe companies, but to a number of other companies In the Tlntlo district the restoration res-toration of Bpoltor moans resumption of operations, and -Mr. Dick believes that tho camp will bo quick to show the effects ef-fects of this happier condition. Before tho drop in spelter there were about one dozen producers of zinc oros, two companies com-panies being restored thereby to the dividend divi-dend list temporarily, the May Day and Tankco Consolidated Before returning to Salt Lake, Mr. Dick visited the Cedar-Talisman property, prop-erty, where, ho reports, Is a first-class little showing of ore. There Is nothing big there yet, but what tho management has opened Is the best had since the chango of management, and tho officials feel that tho point of interest will bear tho development now under way. Mr. Dick was much Impressed with the booming town of MHford, Utah. There are two hotels there now, and a third Is being constructed, but a person desiring rooms had better wire some time ahead, owing to tho overcrowded condition of the existing hotels. The improvement In the mines of Beaver county and tho extensive ex-tensive Irrigation enterprises being rounded out in that vicinity are responsible responsi-ble for this Mllford advancement. |
