The Woman 's Christian Temporance Union of Utah will begin a throe days' session at the Liberty Park Methodist church in this city at 8 o'clock this evening. The opening session of the convention has been termed "Welcome Night," ami an unusually interesting programme has neen arrangea. The big feature of tho convention will bo on tho afternoon of the closing day, when the question to bo discussed is, "Why we win or lose tho dry election elec-tion battle and the best method of turning t ho political tide in favor of prohibition." The attendance, it is expected, will be the largest in the history of the W. T. U. in this ntate. The programme for this evoning follows: 8 p. m. Welcome night. Opening of convention by president.
