THREE K KILLED I ROCK ISLB WICK Thirty-five More or Less Injured; In-jured; Entire Train Rolls Down Embankment. CEDAR BAPTDS, Ta., Sept. 1 Train No. 444, southbound, on tho Decorah branch of hte Chicago & Rock Island, due here at 6 p. m.. was wrecked within with-in two miles of Maynard at 3:45 this afternoon. Tho entire train was derailed, de-railed, rolling down a ten-foot em- bankment. Three were instantly killed and thirty-five others were more or less seriously injured. The cause of the accident ac-cident was tho spreading of the rails. As soon as the engine loft tho rails tho coaches turned over and slid down the embankment. A special train was made up at Oelwein and left Maynard at 7 o'clock tonight, bringing the injured in-jured to this city.
