Show Officials Make Brief Stay in Ogden En Route to Carson, Nevada, for Meeting. Special to The Tribune. OGDEX, Sept. 1. Headed by F. H. Newell, director of the United States reclamation service, all of the reclamation reclama-tion supervisors in charge of the western districts assembled in Ogden today preliminary pre-liminary to :m important conference which will be held at Carson. Nov.. within' with-in' the next few days. It will be attended at-tended by Franklin Iv. Lane, secretary of the interior. During their brief stay In Ogden today, the reclamation officials visited with District Forester IS. A. Slier-man Slier-man of the Fourth forest district. In addition to Director Xewcll. who has attained an international reputation in matters pertaining to the reclamation of arid lands, the party was composed of F. P. Davis, chief engineer of the reclamation recla-mation service with headquarters at Washington. D. C; L,. C. Hill, in charge of the southwestern district, comprising Arizona. California, New Mexico and Utah; H. M. Savage, director of the Montana Mon-tana district with headquarters at Great Falls; F. E. Waymouth. director of the Washington district with headquarters at North Yakima: E G. Mopsou. director of the Oregon district with headquarters at Portland: P. F. Walter, director of the Colorado district with headquarters at Denver, and Morris 131en. legal representative represen-tative of the reclamation service with headquarters at Washington, D. C. Upon the return to this city the party will proceed to Lake Tahoc for the meeting meet-ing with Secretary Lane. The conference confer-ence there will nave to do with the Truckee-Carson reclamation project. |
