Show Jordan-Knight Wedding Brilliant Social Event Mr. and Mrs. Knight Starr Jordan. Hundreds Extend Felicitations to Bride and Bridegroom; Will Sail for Honolulu. Special to The Tribune. PROVQ, Sept. 1. Miss Addle Iona Knight, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Knight, and Knight Starr Jordan, son of Dr. and Mrs. T-.,i , .nvidS,rr Jrdan of Stanford University, California, were united in marr age at the beautiful home of the brides parents this evening. The event was one of the distinctive social functions in the history of the city. The wedding was at 7.30, Bishop Albert Manwaring officiating. The maids of honor were Miss Augusta IHIch of Oakland, Oak-land, Cal.. Miss Pauline Herrlnger of Salt LarAe CLLy.Jand I,ss Mlna Taylor of Provo. Tho bridegroom was attended by his brother, Harold Jordan of Stanford Tho parlor was tastefully decorated with festoons fes-toons of box-wood and illuminated with graff-sreen lanterns, bearing the letter in the center was a canopy of white roses, undor which the marriage ceremony -was solemnized ln tho presence of Immediate relatives and a few intimate mends. After the ceremony the bridal party ?assed. rou,5h .a1 arbor of flowers to the brilliantly hghted and ornamented hall, -where they received the felicitations from several hundred guests, and refreshments re-freshments were seryed. On returning they will spend a short time at Carmcl-by-tho-Sea. Dr. Jordan's summer home, and will then take up their residence resi-dence In Terra Bella, where Mr. Jordan is engaged In the real estate business. |
