Show PARK CITY IK OBSERVE THE ffl Special to The Tribune, PARK CTTY, Sept. 1. Labor day was properly observed here today, when a big celebration was held by the local members of the Western Federation of Miners, and as a whole the day was one of thc most enjoyable ones of the year, being featured by a. splendid programme of sports, amusement for all and prizes for men, women and children for the winning win-ning of the various races. At 9 o'clock the members of the Park City Independent band made their appearance ap-pearance on Main street In front of the union hall, and after several of the popular popu-lar selections had beon given, the crowd had assembled and shortly before 10 o'clock the parade was formed and several sever-al hundred of thc union men and school children marched through the main streets and returned to tho band stand, where a short but enjoyable musical programme pro-gramme was rendered. At the conclusion of the music, Cul-bert Cul-bert L. Olson of Salt Lake was, introduced intro-duced as the speaker of the day. He began by telling his Irrge audience that It was always a pleasure, the greatest pleasure In the world for him to address the union men. and t.iat he hoped to see the Western Federation cf Miners grow and grow in the future' as It has In the past, and he fH tint such would be th case.
