Show COLORADO SISTERS ELOPE TO FARMINGTON Moving Picture Theater Managers Wed Grand. Junction Girls. The climax of a romance In which the principals were two pretty Grand Junction Junc-tion girls Miss Goldle Maxwell and Miss Bess Maxwell, sisters and W. C. RIter and Rex W. Mldgley, managers of the American and Liberty theaters, took place early yesterday morning when the four young people awakened a Farmlngton justice of the peace at 2 a. m. and had the knots tied. Miss Bess Maxwell's new name Is Mrs. R. W. Mldgley and that of her sister, Mrs. R. C. Rlter. The marriage was a real elopement, as Mrs. J. B. Maxwell, mother of the girls, was unaware that anything of tho sort was contemplated. She and her daughters daugh-ters were on their way to the coast and stopped off In Salt Lake for a short time. Thev were staying at the S-emloh. The Colo'rado girls met the two local moving picture men in 'Salt Lako about four months ago. The Salt Lakers were won by tho charm of the sisters and the courtships begun then were carried on by correspondence. After the double wedding the two couples cou-ples returned to the hotel and Informed Mrs. Maxwell of what had taken place. She gave them her maternal blessing and forgiveness and wired her husband. It Is probablo that the California trip will be deferred owing to the loss of her daughters. |
