Show BEER SIMSE Two Thousand Will Have Share in Preparation and Presentation. That tho historical pageant planned for the celebration of Pioneer day next Thursdaj will be tho most strikingly I spectacular and historically important event of the kind seen in many years, is tho statement made by members of the committee in charge of the work. Practically 2000 people all told will havo a share either in the preparation of tho parade or its actual presentation. Of this number 1500 will be children, who will follow the "Utah" float singing sing-ing the songs of tho state. The pioneers who came to tho valley in the year 1847 will be guests of honor for the da' and will do shown tho courtesy and deference which is their due for tho work accomplished. The committee has planned that all the pioneers shall ride in automobiles that they shall have places of honor in the parade and also the privilege of reviewing review-ing the parade as it countermarches past tho reviewing stand. Afterwards they will be the guests of tho management manage-ment of Wandamcre at a noon luncheon. Tho parade promises to depict in de tail tho progress and development of the Avostern country with particular attention at-tention being paid to Utah, The picture of the barren desert will be followed in order by floats, representing the carl' Catholic missionaries, the pioneers, pio-neers, the "Coming of the Nations," tho birth of irrigation, the commercial development of the state and its general gen-eral progress since the early days. Considerable Con-siderable more pains and expense havo been given over to tho work of preparing prepar-ing the floats this jcar than ever before, be-fore, it being the ami of the Sons and Daughters of the Pioneers to set a standard which may be followed in future fu-ture years. The parade will start at 10 o'clock and will pass along a line of march to be decided later. |
