Welsh was given the decision at tho end of tho fifteenth round by Referee James Hewitt. Young O'Brien showed all the 3pced and eluslveness credltod to him, but only In flashes. Most of the time he was too busy hanging on in clinches to cscapu the Infighting of the British champion. There was little long range boxing. When they did stand off, O'Brien more than held his own, and in the tenth round he clearly outfought Welsh From that time on Welsh established a clear lead. |
