Show KAYSV1LLE NOTES Special to The Tribune. KAYSVILLE. Jan. 17. County Tree Inspector In-spector Lc Roy Marsh Is very optimistic os to the fruit outlook in this county this coming season. With a full crop, the inspector in-spector estimates Davis county will be able to ship seventy-flvo carloads of peaches and one hundred carloads of apples besides apricots and cherries. Many now orchards will come In bearing this season. There Is a splendid crop of buds on all kinds of fnilt trees. The warm weather last fall was Ideal for their development. During the past few days babies have been born to the following people: A ten-pound ten-pound daughter to Mr. and Mrs. True B. Hatch of Bountiful; twin sons to Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Telford of Ccntcrvllle. and a son to Mr. and Mrs. Roy Cook of Syracuse. William II. Bone of Layton and Miss Wealtha Venable of Syracuse, Mr. George R. Scott and Miss Prudonce C. Wood, both of Woods Cross, and Dclbert Ellison and Miss Isabel Corbrldge. both of Lay-ton, Lay-ton, were married during the. past week. Tho Indian War Veterans' comm sslon, which was appointed by tho last legislative legisla-tive to gather data, complotcd Its visits to this county Friday. A board of directors of tho Utah Hunting Hunt-ing and Improvement club, was organized Saturday at tho stockholders' meeting held In Woods Cross. Tho board is now composed of Ernest Burnham. Perry E. Burnham, Silas Burnham. Fred Cleverly. William Cleverly, D. W. Fcnwick and Ancol Hatch. A meeting of the tomato growers was held Saturday to ascertain how the farmers farm-ers felt In regard to asking $2 a ton more for that product this year than last. Last year the factories In Davis county paid only SS, In lflOS. $n, and in 1907. $10. Now tho growers think they should cot the same as In 1907. A committee was appointed ap-pointed to visit the farmers. Tho Call pharmacy and the Strlngham Drug company of Bountiful have consolidated. consoli-dated. An Incorporation will be formod in a few days, taking over the entire stock of both drug stores. No new cases of scarlet fever have been reported In Kaysvlllo for a week. Shlrlcv, th young son of Mr. ami Mrs. John G. M. Karnes, who lias been dangerously ill from the disease, is now much better. |
