Tho occasion of the meeting was the presence, with the. local tribe of tho Great Incohonec of the Red Men. Joseph Far-rar. Far-rar. The first part of the programme consisted of a solo by D. F. Maurcr a recitation by Miss Irene Hughes, and a piano solo by Miss Ethel Darke. Great Incohoneo Farrar was then Introduced bv tho chalrnmn. James Kelly. Mr. Farrar Far-rar spoko only a few minutes, but In that time, he covered briefly the hlstorv of the Improved Order of Red Men. an order which, he said, existed prior to the. colonial revolution nnd Is the oldest patriotic order In the country today. Tie spoke briefly of the work that tho Red Men are doing, nnd closed his talk with a r?w w,ords concerning the local tribe. Tho Misses Estolla Thorne and Emma Ashton sang a duel, Miss Hazel Franks rendered a piano solo and the Knepn brothers entertained the galherliur with a brilliantly whistled duet "cun wltn |
