Show CLUB FOR WORKINGMEN. Utah Copper Plant at Magna Furnishes Amusement for Employees. Special to Tho Tribune. GARFIELD. Feb. . Some time ago the officials of tho Utah Copper company decided to establish a club room for the men working In and about the Magna plant. The basement under the main office of-fice was remodeled for aucn purpose. One pool table and one billiard table were Installed, In-stalled, togcthor with card tables. All the latest magazines and tho things which go lo mako pleasant a club room were supplied. sup-plied. Last night a permanent organization was formed, with C- W. Evans acting as for the purpose of electing a full list of officers. Following are tho officers chairman of the meotlng. which was called who will serve In their sevoral stations; President. F. G. Janney. Jr.; vice president, pres-ident, R. O. Brlttlon; secretary, Louis Wetzel; treasurer, O. W. Kumroe; custodian. cus-todian. Dwlght Meteor. A commlttco on rules nnd regulations was elerted. consisting of C. W. Evors, G-H. G-H. Wilkinson, J. S. Barton and W. A. Castlnton. An entertainment committee was electedFred Barton, A. W. Watson. J. E. Fllege. Ross Taylor. Carl Ashby, ,L W. .Rldd, C. D. Duckworth. A. J. Hoffman, Hoff-man, D. M. Griffin and Thomas Burr. This committee was instructed to meet at the earliest possible dato to arrange for a formal opening of tho club rooms, when tho wives and sweethearts of the members will bo Invited to spend tho evening at "500." |
