Show CHANGE IN METHOD OF PREMIUM AWARDS j House bill No. 145. by Dahlqulst, was introduced Monday. It makes an Important Im-portant change In the law relating lo the awarding of premiums by the State Fair association. The amendment provides that the board of directors "shall appoint ap-point an awarding committee of not less than three disinterested persons for each department; who shall adjudge and award all premiums, prizes of honorable mentions; men-tions; provided, however, that at least ono person of each such awarding committee com-mittee shall bo fully qualified b- education, educa-tion, practice or experience, to correctly correct-ly and Justly mako such awards. All such awarding Judges shall servo without with-out compensation, except, when in the Judgment of the board It shall be necessary neces-sary to engage an expert from any other state to serve as one of the Judges In any department; in which case the board shall have authority to compensate such person per-son for his or her service. |
