Show DEADLOCK IS BROKEN AFTER SEVENTEEN HOURS Special to The Tribune. PROVO, Feb. G. By throwing his support sup-port to George Y. Myers. Chairman Ward broke the deadlock at 1:30 this morning that had existed among the county commissioners com-missioners over a road commissioner for almost seventeen hours. When the commissioners mot nl 9 o'clock Monday morning they took up the selection of a roud commissioner. Tho candidates were Myers. Joseph J. Evans and J. F. Clyde. Chairman Ward was for Evans, Gardner for Myers and Lewis for Clyde. Each voted for his man regularly until Ward broke tho deadlock. Without a fight tho commlsloners then chose officers as follows: Dr. Clarence M. Clark, county physician; physi-cian; R. W. Brorton, fruit tree inspector. |
