C Sheriff Kelter and his posse arrived here this afternoon in a Bnnrlnl tr.tln from C"Irin 'Rlvrtf witVi the three men charged with the murder of Victor Albert Jenkins at Sunnyside yesterday yes-terday morning. The men. handcuffed together, were turned over to Deputy Sheriff J. O. Faucett and City Marshal Uarlon. who placed them in solitary confinement, separated from each other. In the county Jail. Sheriff Kelter and his posse did not get off the train, but proceeded on to Kenilworth by way of Helper. On the man who swam the Price river at Woodside was found the bag of silver taken from Jenkins and the bloody razor with which Jenkins and Bentley arc said to have been slashed after being shot down. After being taken to jail the three were fed. They ate ravenously. The three are ItallanH. and It said that one of them has been engaged In the bakery business at Sunnyside. A. great mob followed the prisoners and officers to the county jail, but there was no disposition towards violence. Deputy Sheriff Faucett has not as yet asked the men their names. |
