Show WOMAN LOSES HOME. County Commissioners Decide not to Interfere In-terfere In the Matter. Special to The Tribune. OGDEN. Fob. 6. By remitting taxes for the past four years, amounting to $200, to Mattle J. Sherwood the Weber county commissioners could save tho woman's home. Unless such action is taken the woman will become a charge on the county. Such wns tho problem which confronted tho board this morning whon Peter G. Poulson presented a petition in behalf of the woman setting out tho foregoing conditions. con-ditions. After a short discussion tho board decided that as the home had already al-ready boon sold for delinquent taxes It had no right to Interfere. Poulson says that the county will have to take care of the woman. Tho board received the. resignations of J. S Peterson, justice of tho Peace at Huntsvillc, and his constable, Marlnus Johanseu. D. D. McKay and J. W. Grow were appointed to fill the respective vacancies. G. E. Iligley was appointed deputy road commissioner, and the appointments of Ralph B. Gibson and J. A. Knight to similar positions were taken under advisement." ad-visement." The board adjourned early to visit the county infirmary on an inspection inspec-tion trip. |
