D., of Niles. iMich., who for manv voars has been in charge of the Methodist parsonage in that city, spent several weeks in Salt Lake Cit.v, visiting with his sou. A. R. Barnes, attorney general of this state. During his stay in tho citv Dr. Barnes preached several times from the pulpit of. Dr. F. J3. Short, at the J'irst Methodist church. On Wednesday last Dr. Barnes left for Pasadena, Cnl., where ho will spend the remainder of (ho wintor, and it is possible that, he may return to Zion and locale here permanently. Dr. Barnes has boon eminently successful in his ministerial career and has been prominently identified with all (he large movements connected with the church.
