Tndjo won tho first round in his action against Robert Edward Bess in the district court Saturda', whon Judge Jlitchie overruled Bess's demurrer to tho complaint and gave Bess ten days 'to answer. Tadjo is suing Bess for damages in the sum of $10,000 for defamation of character because of charges made by Bess in connection with the divorce action ac-tion brought by Mrs. Bess. A divorce was granted Mrs. Bess more than six months ago, and her husband, a few weeks ago, filed a motion "for n modification modi-fication of the decree so as to award him tho custody of their six children. The charge wns not proved at tho hearing, and a few days afterwards Tnd.ie filed his action for defamation of character.
