Show THE GROWING UST. It is the duty of The Tribune to record re-cord two other now poij'gamouB mar-riages, mar-riages, in. addition to tho list already printed in this paper. Elder Josiah Hickman testified boforo the Senate Committee on Privilcgos and Elections in December, 1904. At that ti mo he coufessod that he bad married mar-ried a plural wife in Mexico in the year J8D0; but there was no suspicion that he had repeated the offense two years previous to his testifying at Washington. Tt now appears, however, that in about the 3'ear 1902 he unlawfully unlaw-fully took as his second polygamous wife Miss Chloe Palmor. At that time the young woman was teaching school at Benjamin, Utah county. She is now teaching school at Castlodale, Emery county. It would seem that Elder Hickman Hick-man found little difficulty, and no punishment pun-ishment whatever, following his first polygamous adventure and that Jje determined de-termined to engage in nnother; which he has done, if our information bo correct. cor-rect. Wc have every reason to believe that it is so. Elder Peter Lcmmoii once lived at Monroe, Sevier county, Utah, lie had a splendid wife and family of children, and the good woman is said to have been healthy and very happy in her husband's lovo and the possession of her babies. Elder Lommon went on a mission, and upon his return determined deter-mined to tako a second wife. Mrs. Lommon bitterly opposed it; but the man was obdurate and unmerciful. Ho went away to Mexico with a 3'oung woman of Monroe. Hor name Tho Tribune has not got in full, but her giveu name was Phoebe, Lommon married tho girl and is now living at Colonia Dublan Tho legal Mrs. Lem-nion Lem-nion is now a broken woman. And so it is thnt the list keeps on growing. And wc feel confident in saying that wc have not yet got one-tenth one-tenth of the cases, oven though we have, "now exposed moro than a hundred, hun-dred, - |
