Show MRS. L. J. KING'S HOME IS DAMAGED BY FIRE Fire damaged tho roof of the two-story two-story brick residence occupied by Mrs. L. J. King. 549 Eant Sec6nd South street, to the extent of 3300 and the contents of the house and the attic to the extent of $2000, Saturday morning. Dofectlve electric elec-tric wiring wa assigned as the cause of the fire. When Mrs. King discovered the fire, sho immediately telephoned the alarm to the station, and Chief Glore, with the apparatus from statl6n No. 4. responded. On a straight course of about ono mile, tho department made a record run. Tho fire waa confined to the attic, but was so Intense upon the arrival of the department de-partment that two streams of water had to be turned upon It. The loss is covered by insurance. |
