Mr. Long snys that out of twenty-three lots sold last week in his addition, fourteen were to out-of-town people, moat of whom have boon in Salt Lake Among tho number num-ber was J. J. liackley ol Oklahoma City, who bought noveral lots on the advice of friends. Mr. Rackloy intends to conio to Snlt Lake in a few months to open up a new business house, and at that time it is expected he will erect a modern home. One of tho sales of the week was thai of five lots lo Charles S. Burton of the State Hank of Utah. Mr. Burton's Bur-ton's intentions havo not boon announced, an-nounced, but it is probable that he will improve the ground with one or more suburban residences. He has been looking for a sub urban homesite for many months, but not until Long-view Long-view park was opened a month ago were negotiations opoucd. Mr. Burton Bur-ton says tho property is his idonl for a country homo, and it is for that reason rea-son that he bought live of tho best lots in the addition. The addition is also provided with water, electric light servico and telephone service, and will soon have wide cement sidewalks and a great many more shade trees. Other out-of-town purchasers in the addition were Joseph Zimmerman, :i business man of Brighnm Citv, two lots; C. T. Thompson of Denver, two lots; Charles Watson, a steel contractor contrac-tor of Detroit, two lots, Mr. Long says tho prospects are for increased outside business with tho publicity pub-licity campaign which is proposed by tho Commercial club, and tho general reports of enormous activity in real cstnte and building linos which are spreading rapidlv throughout the country. |
