Show ELEVEN O'CLOCK DECISION. It is understood in political circles that thero will be no shilly-shally business busi-ness this year, and that "the hierarchs entrusted with tho execution of tho political designs of the Mormon church will not delay their decision until eleven o'clock on election dny, nor attempt at-tempt to switch from 6no party to the other in tho afternoon while the votes aro being cast. All is to bo arranged in advance by a most wiso, carofully calculated cal-culated and well-enforced provision. This will be good news to somo of the nspiring politicians, and will, if well understood, preserve somo aspiring aspir-ing candidates from wasting their money. Tho community will be spared the painful spectacle of seeing bright, attractive young men walking around the, stroots after having mortgaged their homes and lost their jobs in an effort to get political offices' on tickets which the church pretended it would favor, but really intended to defeat. This determined method will also pleaso the chief organ of the church, for it. recently gave currency to the opinion that the Mormons wore a set of fools to jockey with the political situation until such a lnte hour as to permit the American party to carry off tho plum of victory. So now all is tranquil. The hierarchs know which party they will choose, and within tho next sixty days their choico will be indicated by tho whisper to the faithful and may possibly bo made manifest by the manner in which the favorites shall bet their money and their nominations. |
