Show UNIDENTIFIED MAN FOUND DEAD IN AN OLD CABIN Special to The Tribune. PARK CITY, June 23. An unldenti-lled unldenti-lled man was found dead in an old cab-In cab-In in Thayne's canyon this morning. A force of men is at work on. the road about half way up the canyon and about the time mentioned some of them Went to the spring for a drink. Near the spring is a cabin; and while peeping peep-ing into this John Kelly discovered a man lying upon his back with his feet crossed, as if asleep. Upon examination examina-tion It was found that the man was dead. Word was at once sent to town, and the Coroner immediately went up the canyon and made an investigation. No evidence could be obtained to Bhow how the man had come by his death, neither could anything be found by which he could be identified. To all appearances ap-pearances he had gone into the cabin to rest. The only things found upon the body were n trunk key and a Masonic and an Odd Fellows' pin. The body was brought down to Richardson's undertaking under-taking parlors this afternoon, where it will remain while further efforts arc made to Identify It. Deceased was a man of medium height and size, smooth shaven and apparently about -15 years of age. o a A force of about forty men began yos-terday yos-terday to clean away the rubbish from the ruins of the Ontario shafthouBe. The work is progressing well and It will not .be long until the full extent of the damage dam-age to the engine and other machinery can be ascertained. Summit temple No. 2, Rathbone Sisters, Sis-ters, celebrated its first anniversary last evening. The hall was decorated in the appropriate colors and a rich banquet ban-quet was served. The attendance was large ahd great interest shown in the progress of the organization. The committee appointed to solicit funds for the celebration of the Fourth of July has completed its work anil reports re-ports of $000 subscribed. There will be a citizens' meeting in the City hall this evening to perfect the arrangements for the celebration. 9 Prof. Janney came up from the city this morning to visit the Woodside property. James McGregor came out this morning morn-ing and will remain for several days in thecamp. In all probability before he leaves something definite will be decided de-cided as to the construction of the tunnel tun-nel Into the McGregor group. W. D. Watson, W. A. Raddon and C. A. Blocher returned from Salt Lako this morning, where they have been In attendance at the Grand Lodge of Knights of Pythias. . The St. Mary's school will give its annual entertainment this evening In the Dewey theater. These entertainments entertain-ments are always high class andxdraw large audiences. Fathers DInan, Murphy Mur-phy and Burns came up from Salt Lake this morning to be present at the exercises exer-cises and to enjoy a visit with Father Galllgan.
