In the parlor and library, whero a part of tho guests were seated, bowls of white roacs and carnations -wero used In tho pretty decorations. Rugs covered the porch floor and a great American flag was draped across tho east end. Sbcty-lhrec was the game played, pretty Japanese fans being used for tablo carda and scenes In Franco and Italy for score cards. Prizes were won by Mrs. lloyt Sherman, Mrs. T. B. Bcatty and Mrs. T. One of tho most enjoyable lake parties of the season was that of Wednesday, when Mrs. Charles G. Plammer and Mrs. F. A. DruchI entertained a party of thirty ladles in honor of Mrs. Coates of London. Tho party went out on tho 10 o'clock, train, at noon enjoyed a delicious lunch, and enjoyed tho pleasures of tho resort until 3 o'clock, when a majority of the. ladles returned to tho city. In the evening even-ing Mrs. Plummcr entertained a party of twelve. Mr. and Mrs. O. J. Salisbury and Walker will return Monday from tho East. Miss Allco Goodwin has returned from Nov York, whero she has been In school for a year past Mr. and Mrs. B. F.
