Rumors have been lloatlr.g about for some days past to tho effect that Fred Weed and Max Mullcr. two of the best players on the Salt Lako team, were to be sold. According to' tho report, negotiations negotia-tions are already on for their purchase. Both men, If this bo true, will probablv go to some of the big league clubs. Mullcr la considered to bo one of tho fastest fielders field-ers ln the league and Is a fair hitter. Weed Is a strong batter and led tho outfielders ln the Pacific National league last year Both would be valuablo acquisitions to any club, and the fans here would hate to see them go.
