Show THE INCONSISTENCY OF BRYAN. On of the curious things about Bryan's Bry-an's support of Parker Is the fact that every reason he gives why he Is going to support the Democratic Presidential candidate Is a good reasoru why every other good Democrat should , support Roosevelt. Bryan charges that Judge Parker won the.nomlnatlon by trickery and, through his friends, fooledi the convention as to his opinions on the gold standard, but he is going to support the Judge nevertheless. never-theless. It does not seem) to occur to Mr. Bryan that the fact that Parker wort by trickery is-the best reason' in the world why Bryan should not support him, and- Is the reason why other Democrats Demo-crats will not do so. Bryan calls attention to the fact that Parker is supported by Wall street and the trusts, and for this reason' Bryan finds that he should not have been nominated. nom-inated. Yet Bryan will support Parker. The argument ho makes should cause every other good Democrat to vote against Parker and support Roosevelt and Fairbanks In other wordu and In brief. Bryan makes the best- argument t-o far heard why Parker shouldi be defeated, yet finds ln his own arguments reasons why he will support him. While Bryan's arguments ar-guments have no effect on himself, It is quite clear that they must have a tremendous tre-mendous effect upon the Democrats of the country. For eight years the Democrats have opposed; trusts, Wall street, and the gold standard, and yet today the Democratic nominee of that party represents trusts, Wall street and the gold' standard; and William Jennlngsi Bryanv the nominee of that party ln two conventions, tus-lalns tus-lalns Parker and will support him-at the polls, after showing that he Is a trust- owned, goM standard and Wall street man.
