JACK MUNROE SAID' TO BE LOSER $5000 The postponement of hln fight with Jeffries is only one of the misfortunes that has befallen Jack Munroe of late. The miner Is a partner In Harry Hastings' Has-tings' book at the race track, doing business In the field. Their losses since the season opened have amounted to $10,000. As the miner has a half Interest In the book, it can readily be seen that ho has been hit hard. The book has had a big play, but unfortunately for Munroe, It has had to pay out instead of adding to his bank roll. Thus It can readily be seen that when Jack Munroe steps Into In-to the ring with the champion he will take an awful lot of beating before he gives up all hope for the big end of the purse. Munroe's grit and determination are undisputed facts. Add to this his present pres-ent sore need of the "mazuma," and, wow! how he will fight!
