Show THE COPPER BELT HAULS SOME ORE Tonnage Over the Bingham Houto Exceeds All Previous Records During Past Month. THE management of the Copper Belt railway, which has done so much to simplify the movement of ores out of Bingham, made new record last month, the report which was yestorduy compiled by Secretary Charles Post, showing that over Its rails thero have passed to the furnaces of the valley no less than 52,907,510 pounds, or more than 26,000 tons of ore. Its principal consignor was tho Utah Copper company, although the Boston Con. and Yam pa kept not a 'few of Us cars busy, as did the Commercial group on which the Bingham Con. is drawing for not a little of its oro. In addition to the tonnage moved by tho Copper Belt was that which traveled over the tramways from the Utah Con. and United States companies, properties amounting to nearly 40,000 tons, and the record for the month will perhaps exceed ex-ceed any In Its history. That the output out-put for May will be exceeded by that of the present month there Is no doubt whatever, as the management of the Utah Con. Is levying on Its mines for an average of over 700 tons daily, while the United States nnd Bingham Con. will each show an Increased output. out-put. With Its equipment the Bingham Copper Belt railway is experiencing no trouble whatever In handling the ores that are coming down nor the tonnage that Is being taken up, and with Its assistance the output of the camp the present year will exceed any In Its history. |
