Show Nestor of Journalism ; in Capital City Crosby S. Noyes, Editor-in-Chief of the Washington Star, Tendered a Great Reception. WASHINGTON. June 7. One thousand of the best known citizens of Washington tonight tendered a reception to Crosby S. Noyes. editor-in-chief of the Washington Wash-ington Evening Star and. known as the Nestor In Journalism In this city. From out of town came over S00 letters from editors, publishers, Senators and members mem-bers of the House of Representatives and others, congratulating the venerable venera-ble editor, now rounding out his 79th year, on his achievements. President Roosevelt sent a personal message regretting re-gretting his Inability to be present, but extending to Mr. Noyes hla congratulations congratula-tions and wishing that his health and prosperity long may continue.
