Show Delaware Perns Will Present Cray State Convention Instructs Delegatos to Work for the Jurist for tho Presidency. DOVER. Del., June 7. Contrary to thc expressed wish of Judge George Gray, the Delaware Democratic State convention, by a unanimous vote, today Instructed Its delegates to thc St. LkwIs convention to present the name of Judge Gray to the convention as the choice of thc Delaware Democracy for thc Presidency and to worU for his nomination. nomina-tion. Tills action was taken after one of the most stormy conventions ever held in the State. The leader of the opposition to I the Gray nomination was former United States Senator Richard R. Kenny who was opposed to the word "Instruct " Jle offered a resolution that the delegates be "requested" to place Judge Gray's name before the National convention. The light between tlm Gray and the anti-Gray factions became so bitter that the former paid no attention to Judge Gray's letter, in which he asked that the delegates dele-gates be not Instructor. They fought to . defeat Kcnney and would not listen to anything that his supporters offered. i Judgo Gray's letter expressed his great anxiety for harmony In the Democratic i party tills year and held that the Democratic Demo-cratic National convention should be left free to select as the candidate for President Presi-dent the strongest and most available man.
