Private William Nichols, the soldier claiming station at Fort Douglas, who was reported to have been injured In a head-on collision on the Missouri Pacific Pa-cific railroad at Kansas City a few days ugo. arrived at the fort yesterday. He looked none the worse for his experience experi-ence Jn the wreck. Private Nichols enlisted at an eastern east-ern station and was en route to join the regiment, traveling on Government transportation. The wreck was a disastrous disas-trous one and he feels grateful that he was not killed outright. He was delayed de-layed a day or two on account of Injuries In-juries received, but came on ns soon as he was able to travel. Private Nichols was assigned to company L of the Twenty-ninth infantry. |
