UTAH INTERESTS IN NEVADA'S BIG CAJZP Telling of the progress of development on the Halifax group, which Is being developed de-veloped by Messrs. Keith and Kearns at Tonopah, the Bonanza says: "The shaft is nearing tho iiJO-foot level, and about 75.000 gallons of water per day are being numped from tho shaft. When tho SCO-foot" level is reached crosscuts north and south will be run. There Is no material change In tho formation." But little progress was made with tho track-laying during the week Just passed on account of the Carson City carnival and tho Fourth of July, taking most of the equipment and power of the C. & C. and they were unable to deliver the usual amount of material. Material is coming In In bettor shape, and It Is hoped to have the track completed into Tonopah by Wednesday or Thursday of next week.
