This Is good news to Utah people, peo-ple, for we cannot believe that that road would stop at Lander very long; It would) almost of necessity be pushed Eouthwestward to this city, to a con nection with the general railway systems sys-tems of the West. An excellent lino into Utah has long been surveyed from Casper, and the work of building the road would bo one of the easiest of any yet done In the mountains. European unfriends of the United States are very active and adroit In their methods of fostering prejudice against the United Slates. Thus, a Roman Ro-man dispatch claims that the -United States circulates a report that Japan protested against tho transfer of the present Italian Minister" at Toklo to St. Petersburg. It is quite impossible that the United States should Interest itself in a matter of that kind, though a candid can-did and1 Impartial obsarver on the side might not unreasonably criticise such a transfer, unless at tho same time the Italian Minister who has been, at St. Petersburg should be sent to Toklo.
