PAGITE MAY NOT COkE Murdoch Will Kemain in theService but Has Not Been Assigned I TRIBUNE BUREAU 501 Fourteenth Street > Washington D C May 4190l Prof Moore chief of the weather bureau bu-reau was asked tonight what ho proposed pro-posed to do with Observer Murdoch now stationed at Salt Lake in the event ot the transfer of B N Pague to lake charge of the forecast in Utah Prof Moore said Mr Paguc has done excellent work In Detroit where he has recently been stationed and it is the intention of the weather bureau to make some changes In the matter of Western appointments but it may be that after all he will not be assigned to Salt Lake The publication of the intention to send him there is somewhat premature However I regard Mr Murdoch the present observer at Salt Lake as an excellent official and It Is not the Intention of this department to dispense with his services Should Mr Pague go to Salt Lake Mr Murdoch will be provided for elsewhere but Just where he will be assigned I nm not at present able to say definitely
