Show METER UIPFS FUXERAL A TTonacrfnlly Srmoatliotlo Audience Audi-ence ITesent New York March 4One of tha most impressive funeral ceremonies ever witnessed In this city took place yesterday at Clarendon hal Dressed in his uniform as R corporal of company com-pany H Seventh regiment the body of Meyer Dampf Jay in state guarded by his comrades in arm the members of Geilsa poat G A B I was a wonderful won-derful sympathetic gathering which I surrounded the bier of Myer Dampf I and strangely enough one of his pallbearers bearers the commander of his post I Colonel A Seifert secretary of the Brewers Pool represented the principle prin-ciple against whIch Dampf had fought resolutely for so many years At an early meeting of the Central Labor union resolutions of regret were passed befitting the occasion Mr Dampf has been for many years treasurer of that body The meeting was promptly adjourned Jn order that the members might be present during the funeral ceremonies The platform Was occupied by leaders of the labor movement in this city and the hall was filled by members of the various organizations or-ganizations represented In the Central Labor union Samuel fjompera made the oration |
