Show Afternoon Session The meeting reconvened at 3 p m and as the first business a communication communica-tion from S H Brownlee of the Price Advocate was read Jn which he stated that he was unable to be present but would like to be considered as a member mem-ber The committee on legislation reported re-ported that they had made no change and resubmitted the resolutions as at first presented Considerable discussion discus-sion followed on their adoption and on motion of Mr White of the Provo Enquirer En-quirer all but the first paragraph was stricken out The motion carried A comunication was read from R W Young manager of Ilhe Salt Lake Herald Inviting the members to attend an Informal reception to be held In the Alta club at 820 in the evening which was accepted as was also one from P H Lannan to visit him at his residence resi-dence at 10 p m Mr White of the l Murray American moved that when the meeting adjourned ad-journed It do so for fifteen days Mr Tomson of the Box Elder Voice moved to amend by making it at the call of the executive committee which was carried On motion of R W Young the previous pre-vious vote on the resolutions were reconsidered re-considered and after considerable discussion dis-cussion were laid on the table on motion mo-tion ol Mr Tomson The committees on transportation advertising and revision of the constitution con-stitution reported that they had nothing to submit to the meeting though the meeting though the latter lat-ter gave notice that they toafl a number num-ber of amendments to the constitution to submit at the next meeting Miss Johnson of the Springville Independent In-dependent the first and only lady member was complimented on her enterprise en-terprise In being the first by the passing pass-ing of a resolution to present her with an association badge when one shall be chosen A committee of three was named by the chairman to chose a suitable badge for the association and report at the next meeting Joel Shomaker A IT Rosenbaum and E H Scott compose com-pose the committee The matter of exchanging between the papers was discussed at considerable consider-able length and Mr White moved that all members of the association be required re-quired to exchange papers with every other member Adopted The meeting then adjourned untll u t I J30 at the Alta club in response to I Mr 0 Toungs Invitation |
