FULLERS EARTH MINE Sanpete People Expect to Make Money Out of One Special Correspondence Mt Pleasant May OThe fullers earth mine located west of Falrview and about eight miles from this city is attracting considerable attention just at present I has been known for some time that the product of the mine was of a flrsfclass quality but the owner William Young of Fairview has been financially unable to develop it or get it on the market W H Woodring of this city has b come convinced of the great value of the deposit and has lately secured an option on the property He js prepar ing to take active steps towards opening open-ing it up He is corresponding through some Salt Lake parties with an eastern firm which uses large quantities of the imported article and is attempting to induce then to use the earth from the Sanpete mine This attempt has been partially successful suc-cessful as the firm has signified a willingness ingness to purchase its supply here If the article will stand a test I will either send a expert here to test it on the ground or samples will b forwarded forward-ed for testing If it is accepted and no one doubts that it will be who Is acquainted quainted with the earth and has seen the official analysis the mine will be deelope without delay and will probably prob-ably soon chance hands Another deposit de-posit of the same article located in Se vier county but owned by R Whit taker of this city Is being figured on and may be included in the same deal if i is consummated R Whittaker went to Salt Lake yesterday yes-terday to arrange for the commencing of active work on his West TIntic mining min-ing properties recently incorporated He says the outlook is favorable Some 15000 has been set aside for development develop-ment work which will begin immediately immedi-ately A small plant for hoisting purposes pur-poses has been ordered and a building Ios shaft of the will be erected over the Utah right away The shaft will be pushed to a depth of 500 feet without doing any drifting or prospecting After Af-ter that depth has been reached operations oper-ations will be pushed rapidly and ore extracting will begin Mr Whittaker Is sanguine that the mine is a good ont and that it only lacks development
