IER8tIJIEI IN PRISON Two Perish In the Stockades In Coeur de Alenes t I IN UNHEALTHY QUARTERS I BETTER PLACE OF CONFINEMENT CONFINE-MENT TO BE PROVIDED t Third Week Since the Riots Finds the Situation Greatly Improved I Inquiries Coming In From AllOver All-Over the West From ken Who Want Work Mines Start Up + Wallace Ida May 20Two prisoners died during the week at Wardner but new quarters just finished will be much healthier This the third week since the riots occurred at Wardner ends with greatly great-ly improved prospects Of 1200 men directly di-rectly implicated in the affair not one remains with his former employer When the raid was made it was for the express purpose of closing the Bunker Hill mine and ending the employment of nonunion labor Today the payroll of the Bunker Hill bears the names of nearly 300 men while not a miner is at work at any of the mines which contributed con-tributed men to the mob Still it is not expected the present inactivity will continue long Mines like the Tiger or Frisco which are worked by shafts are keeping the pumps going with the expectation ex-pectation that they will be mining before be-fore long Miners Wont Work Letters from miners all over the west are being received making inquiries regarding re-garding the situation and when once it becomes known that all men who can bring satisfactory letters as to character char-acter and proficiency will receive protection pro-tection and employment it it probable the mines will oon fill up The coroners investigation promises to continue until the end of the month when a special session of the district court convenes
