epteDEATH DEATH TO A HORSE Runaway Collided With John T Reids Rig Yesterday noon while Deputy Sheriff Cummock was on his way I home to luncheon he hove In sight of the wreckage of a runaway in time to put an end to the sufferings of an injured In-jured horse The Anderson Taylor Produce companys delivery outfit broke from Its fastenings on Almond street where H W Tuttle had tied it I and bolting down Center street hill the runaway horse collided with an old gentlemans vehicle going northward I on upper Main street In the collision I the runaway horse struck his head just above the eye against the shaft of John T Reids vehicle and the old gentlemans rig was considerably dam aged He was pitched out and suffered suf-fered painful injuries on the right hip and shoulder Just then Deputy Sheriff Sher-iff Cummock happened along and fired I a bullet into the head of the produce companys mortally wounded horse
