Show KNIGHTS Of KHORASSAN MOVt EL SABAKAH TEMPLE COMES TO SALT LAKE New Pythian Organization Similar to the Mystic Shriners of Masonry List of Officers Elected The Knights of Pythias of Salt Lake City propose to have something new This will be a Temple of the Democratic Demo-cratic Order of the Knights of Khoras san to be known as El Labakah temple tem-ple The object of this organization is purely social and dramatic work of a very high order will be done In fact I this organization will sustain the same i relation to the Knights of Pythias that the Shriners do to the Masons Forty or fifty of the leading knights of the city met in Castle hall last evening even-ing to take the first steps toward organization or-ganization or rather transferring the temple from Ogden where it has existed ex-isted for three years to Salt Lake City This transfer was made last evening and El Labakah temple is now a Salt Lake institution the first organization or-ganization of the kind in local history The temple starts off with seventytwo member In this city and forty in Ogden Og-den This number will be Increased thirty or forty more At the meetn last evening the following officers were selected Royal Vizier Dr C I Douglas Grand emir W W Wiscomb Venerable sheik W H Lovesy Mahedlt L H Farnsworth Menial L C Van Voorhis Sahib H H Smith Guides Robert Shelton and George Buckle Mocanna F I Gunnel Joe D A Doty The work ot the temple will begin about June 15 and regularly a meeting will be held once each quarter Membership Mem-bership Is confined to Knights ot P > r thins The work is said to be very fine and elevating in its influence The Knights of Khorossan are five ear I old and there are 300 lodges or temples in the United States S T |
