| Show TO MAKE IMPEOVEMENTS Much Work Contemplated at the Overland Great improvements are in contemplation contem-plation for the Overland at Mercur and before very long things will just simply sim-ply hum at that property over which Gill S Peyton and Judge W A Sherman Sher-man preside The mine is to be supplied sup-plied with powerful machinery and from all reports It will not be long until un-til it will be an easy matter to remove I re-move from 1000 to 2000 tons of ore daily One of the well known machinery houses has been given an order for large air compressors along with which will be shipped ten large Burleigh drills The order has gone in for this machinery and it will be on the ground as soon as transportation facilities can get them there Extensive development work is going on at the south end of the Overland Over-land ground where ore is being taken out and run through the companys mill which has a capacity of 100 tons I a day I The ore bodies of the Overland are I enormous and for a distance of several sev-eral thousand feet the vein now being worked has an average width of over ten feet This same vein extends on over into the Sunshine property and the underground un-derground workings of the Overland will be pushed across the boundary line I of the Sunshine Some big things may be looked for this ea when It Is considered that the two properties are under the same control I con-trol and that the underground is to be mined from one central point with this powerful machinery Just what the plans for the future are has not been definitely announced from headquarters in the Dooly block but with the added improvements it is not likely the management of the properties prop-erties intend to use the full capacity of the machinery in the mine unless corresponding cor-responding improvements are made in the way of milling facilities A COO ton ore bin is being constructed In ona of th drifts of the Overland |
