Show LoderDUP Camp Meet Hostesses of the January meeting of the Ellen Buckland Loder Camp were June Wilson, Wil-son, Nona Pierce and Adele Greco. They met at Servus Drug Jan. 15. Captain Irma Humphrey conducted the business meeting. A HISTORY was read by Dorothy Blanpied about the Coalville Coop. The coop was owned and operated by her grandfather, George Beard. His career as a merchant ' started as a chore boy in a small store.' Later he built a new building to house the coop. Dorothy worked in the store as a teenager and into her adult life. A lesson on Pioneer Women was given by Betty Woodall. This lesson was on the life of Sarah Dearmon Pea Rich who endured the rigors of frontier and pioneer life finally ; settling in the Rocky Moun-l Moun-l tains. Rich County Utah was named after her husband, ! Charles Rich. She died in 1 893 at the age of 79. |
