IN ADDITION to the protection protec-tion provided by the Utah State Public Health Code it becomes be-comes the responsibility of each resident of the counties of Davis, Weber and Summit to do all within their power to protect the quality of their culinary water supplies for themselves, their families and future generations. Park City, Jeremy Ranch and the Snyderville Treatment Plant have requested changing the classification of water quality in Silvercreek from 3A to 3C, or in other words they are saying we want to dump more treated sewage into the culinary water supplies in the Weber River and further degrade de-grade a stream already overburdened over-burdened with pollutants. If this request is granted every other city or so called development develop-ment on the Weber Basin Watershed will want to dump more of their treated sewage into the Weber River until the pollution becomes so concentrated concen-trated it will kill the fish and certainly not be safe for human consumption. THE DECISION regarding this request will be made by the Utah State Water Pollution Control Board, 150 W. North Temple, P.O. Box 2500. Salt Lake Cit, Ut., 84110. Letters and phone calls. should be directed to the executive secretary sec-retary of the board, Calvin K. Sudweeks, Call 533-6146. Bob McClain |
