AT I1IK Bountiful IE meet, Farah Mahi broke into final in oratory and Lisa Crawther just . barely missed breaking in oratory ora-tory also. Steve Kretschmann received superior with a fourth best speaker in legislative forum. The Cal Rampton meet brought recognition to Mark Smedley and Todd Leishmaii in Legislative Forum. Steve Kretschmann won a third place trophy at the Hugh Rush meet at the Brine Fly Classic debate tournament. Bryon Bailey and Darren Black just barely missed xreaking into finals by speaker points and Farah Mahi received a second place trophy in the Lincoln Douglas debate. AT THE Viewmont Legislative Legisla-tive Forum Meet trophies were given to Carl Lehnhardt, fourth, and Farah Mahi, third, in the "LisaCrowther" novice house. In the "Sylvia Rum-sey" Rum-sey" advanced house Steve Kretschmann was third, Mark Smedley and Doug Wiser were tied for first and Steve Kretch-smann Kretch-smann received the best chair award. At the Utah State Bar Meet in Provo, Mike Burnett and Scott Stone went undefeated in novice debate and won the first place trophy. In legislative legisla-tive forum Carl Lehnhardt and Alan Barlow won gavels as best chairs. Doug Wiser also won a best chair award. Al Barlow also won second place speaker award and Mark Smedley won first place speaker speak-er award. AT THE recent Wasatch Front meet at Ben Lomond Jon Jackson won the first place trophy in boys exempe; George Eames placed in the finals and third place in boys extempe. In oratory Vickie Edgley received the second place trophy and Farah Mahi received the first place trophy. Steve Kretchmann received fourth place in legislative forum and David Roybal and David Larson went undefeated undefe-ated and won the first place trophy in debate. |
