The city council refused the bids and new bids were opened last week. Fourteen auto dealers were contacted and five returned bids. LOW BID was Bountiful AMC Jeep, $7, 753 each for two four-wheel drive vehicles. Tony Price Chevrolet was second low bidder with $8,305 each with both bids being lower than those opened several weeks ago. The council agreed to ac- cept the low bid of Bountiful AMC Jeep. IT WAS also agreed that the city would purchase another sander and snow plow to be used on city-owned trucks during the winter. "With the annexation of a large residential area in the south end of the city and because the city is expanding each year, a new plow and sander are badly needed," said City Manager Grant Petersen. Pe-tersen. TOTAL COST of the two j pieces of equipment is $8,500, about $5,000 for the sander and $3,500 for the plow blade.
