Show EUen Buckland Loder DUP The Ellen Buckland Loder Camp Daughters of Utah Pioneers held their October meeting Friday, Oct. 20 at 1 p.m. at the South Davis Community Com-munity Care Center auditorium. audi-torium. MILLIE Pope greeted members and guests at the door, dressed as a clown. Hostesses were May Muir, Enid Thornton, Olive Taylor and Millie Pope. Twenty-one members of the camp honored Irene Earl, a member who is a guest at the Center, and her friend Marie Keddington along with guests Lyla Stephenson, Elizabeth Stewart, Rhoda Johnson, Edith Millgate, Ida Wester-man Wester-man and Kathie Brown. Vice captain Adele Grecco presided. presid-ed. Salute to the flag was led by Angeline Moss, parliamentarian parliamen-tarian and opening prayer was given by May Muir, chaplain. FERN EVANS, accom panied on the piano by Ruth Olsen, led the camp in singing sing-ing 'The Kiss That Bound My Heart to Thine." A history by Dorothy Blan-pied Blan-pied of stories told by her Grandmother Sarah Lovenia Bullock Beard was enjoyed by ; the group. LESSON leader Beatrice Mabey presented the lesson "Native Pioneers" selecting three of interest who came to Utah before the railroad May 10, 1869. |
