Show Events Scheduled For Month At Golden Years Center Senior citizens coming to the Golden Years Center are asked to check the lost and found corner, if they have lost or found any articles. The small corner area is where articles are kept. Check with the secretary or hostess. ALL WHO are coming in for flu shots should come early, the definite time for shots will be 9 a.m. until noon on Friday, Oct. 27. The cost will be only 50 cents. The American Association of Retired People representa- tives will be at the Center for a meeting on Friday, Nov. 3 at 1 p.m. These people will present a program of the services ser-vices of this organization and discuss the possibility of starting a chapter in this area. Everyone is invited to attend. THE CHRISTOFFERSON travel lecture will be on Monday, Mon-day, Nov. 6 1-2 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend this travelogue in the art room. Veterans and widows of world war I will be honored at the monthly luncheon at the Center on Thursday, Nov. 9. All veterans and widows are especially invited and reservations reser-vations should be made before that day. THE CENTER will be closed on Friday, Nov. 10 for Veteran's Day and again on Nov. 23 and 24 for the Thanksgiving holiday. The Bulletins for November and December will be out soon, so check the interesting programs which are scheduled for those months. REMEMBER to get your handmade items ready for the bazaar which will be on Friday, Nov. 17 from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. The public is invited in-vited and there will be the regular noon lunch as well as other items of food for sale to those attending, kj |
