Show Burton Rites Funeral services were held Oct. 16, 1978 at 10 a.m. in the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary Chapel for James Burton of Bountiful. He died Oct. 12, 1978 in Bountiful. MR. BURTON was born March 9, 1893 in Hugglescote, Leicstershire, England to George and Margaret Bough-ton Bough-ton Burton. He married Agnes Ann Sutcliffe, Sept. 30, 1917 in Campsall, Yorkshire, England. Survivors include sons, Ralph and Cyril Burton; daughter, Jean Rix; 14 grandchildren, 12 greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; brothers, Joseph and Jack Burton; a stepsister, Polly. OFFICIATING AT the services ser-vices was Bishop Merlin Page; family praver was offered of-fered by Rodney Griffin; prelude and postlude music was by Isabell Stringhanr, invocation by Stanley Short; a duet, "In The Garden" was sung by Pearl Van Hulten and Wendy Lawson. Remarks were made by Bishop Page; musical selection, selec-tion, "How Great Thou Art" by Frank Smith; duet, "Abide With Me" by Pearl Van Hulton and Wendy Law-son; Law-son; benediction was by JAMES BURTON Moyer Grow. PALLBEARERS were all grandsons, Colin Burton, Stephen Rix, Randy Burton, Lorin Rix, James Burton, Bradley Rix. Care of the flowers was by the Orchard Eighth Ward Relief Society. DEDICATION OF the grave was by Russell Beard, with interment in the Bountiful Memorial Park. |
