Show Mrs. Elsie Bird Couple Honored At Shower Here A wedding shower was given Friday night at the ward house for Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Marti, who were married April 21 in Salt Lake City. The evening was spent playing games. A delicious plate lunch was served under the direction of the MIA. Many beautiful beau-tiful and useful gifts were received. re-ceived. Mr. Marti bought the James O. Larsen farm. Mrs. Marti is a registered nurse and will be employed at the Roosevelt L.D.S. Hospital. Mrs. Charlie Bird was an overnight over-night guest at the home of her daughter and son-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Clair Duncan at Neola on Monday. R. G. Ross came in from Salt Lake to spend the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Stan-ley Ross. Max Ross returned home from the Roosevelt Hospital Wednesday. Thomas M. Gilbert and son, Rulon, Mr. and Mrs. Arden Evans and son, Hugh, attended the FFA banquet at Union High School, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bird received re-ceived word of a new grandson, born April 26 at the Roosevelt Hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Clair Duncan of Neola. Everyone concerned con-cerned is doing nicely. The Duncans Dun-cans have on girl and three boys. Clairine, Douglas and Bradley Duncan spent the week with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Cah-Jie Cah-Jie Bird, while their mother was in the hospital. SUFFERS BURNS The small son, Robert, of Mr. and Mrs. Gam Gilbert, suffered 3rd degree burns on the bottom f his feet when his sister set him up to the stove to get warm. He was taken to Roosevelt Saturday, Sat-urday, where he received medical treatment. k Mr. and Mrs. Arnoldson and daughters, Emily and Janet, of Draper, visited Sunday at the home of Mrs. Merle Ross. Emily and Donna were roommates at school in Provo. The Jr. Gleaners and Jr. M Men enjoyed a candy pull at the home of Kent Jensen on Tuesday night. Present were their teacher, Mrs. Merle Ross, Donna Ross, Beverly oisen, Donna Larsen, Mar-v Mar-v Horrocks, Mildred and Martha Albert and Kent Jensen. Mrs. Rose Gilbert, of Myton, vis-jjfd vis-jjfd Saturday at the home of Mrs. Merle Ross and was an over-J'ght over-J'ght guest of Mrs. Ora Holgate, Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jensen are enjoying a visit of their neph-w. neph-w. Mike Robis, of Salt Lake. Gilbert, a student at the BYU, and a member mem-ber of the Opera Work Shop, left with a group Saturday on a tour through Wyoming and Colorado. They will be gone a week. PRIMARY CONFERENCE Ward Primary conference was held Sunday night under the direction di-rection of the ward presidency, Elsie Bird, Gladys Capson and Barbara Bar-bara Gilbert. Marva Horrocks was the reader and Mildred Bird read the choral readings. All the children chil-dren took part. Theme of the conference was "Wist Ye Not That I Must Be About My Father's Business." Mrs. Afton Rosenbaum and Mrs. Elaine Farnsworth were stake Primary visitors. Margie Ross, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Max Ross ran into a barbed wire fence at the church yard, Sunday. She was taken to Roosevelt, where she had six stitches taken in her throat and shoulder. Laraine Shields spent a few days at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin G. Shields.
