Show Alice N. Milne, active Civic and Church worker dies in Bountiful; services held Alice Nelson Milne, 66, died July 7, 1976 at the home of a son, Howard Milne in Bountiful,' of Cancer. She was born April 19, 1910 in St. George to Henry Ernest and Euphemia Miles Nelson. Married Frank Milne Jan. 10, 1933 in Parowan. He died May 19, 1975. Member of the IDS and was active in various Church and Civic organizations. She is survived by 2 sons : Dr. Donald J. Milne of Salt Lake City and Howard F. Milne of Bountiful. A daughter Mona Rae preceded her in death. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was raising three grandchildren at the time of her death; a brother Miles E. Nelson of Salt Lake City and a sister Evelyn Hunt of Fair Oaks, Calif. Funeral services were held Monday, July 12, 1976 at 1 p.m. in the Cedar Fourth LDS Ward Chapel. The family prayer was offered by Dr. Donald J. Milne with Margaret Webster playing the prelude, postlude music and Bishop Horace Hall conducting. The invocation was offered by Willard Milne followed by a vocal -. . " I i J - i solo by Ralph R. Hafen "In My Father's House are Many, Mansions" accompanied by Evelyn Jones. The first speaker was Tom Todd followed bv a mixed quartet consisting of Evelyn Petersen, Bettie Ear-dley, Ear-dley, Douglas Manning and Ralph Hafen singing "I Walked Today Where Jesus Walked" accompanied by Robin Hill. The next speaker was Bry Espen-schied Espen-schied followed by remarks by Bishop Horace Hall followed by an organ medley by Tibby Milne. ALICE N. MILNE The benediction was offered by Dr. J. S. Prestwich and Arvel Milne dedicated the grave. Burial was in the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of the Spilsbury & Graff Mortuary. |
